All ovens orders require a signature release upon delivery. It is best to plan to be at home and allot time to unpack the oven on your delivery day. We ship oven orders via an LTL (less than truckload) freight partner who will call you to notify you before the delivery. The driver is only obligated to deliver the oven curbside, but usually if you're courteous to the driver they will have no problem wheeling the oven pallet into a garage or to your install location given that it's easily accessible by pallet jack.
99% of our oven shipments are delivered without damage and can be signed for without a problem. However, in order to ensure you are protected, we request that you inspect the oven shipment for damage before signing for the delivery. The bill of lading you are asked to sign will have a list of items that were shipped. You will want to thoroughly inspect all sides of each box and ensure that all items of the shipment are accounted for. If the shipment appears to have broken plywood, a hole in the box, a strong bend in any box, or is missing a box; please have the driver document this and photograph the damage before signing for the delivery. In the event that an item appears damaged or missing, it is imperative that the damage or missing item is noted in writing on the bill of lading or receipt before signing it. Please email support@fontanaovens.com with pictures and description of the concern so that we can address this and file a claim. We will work to make things right. If a bill of lading or delivery receipt is signed as received without noting any damages, the onus of responsibility is on the receiving party. If no significant damage is found, please sign the bill of lading or delivery receipt as accepted.
It is best to immediately unpack the shipment to be certain that all is well with your new oven. If you find anything of concern, please call 1 (877) 842-9822 within 5 business days. Claims made in regards to shipping damage or missing components made after 5 days of delivery receipt will not be covered by Fontana Forni USA (Tuscan Imports LLC).
We recommend checking out our setup videos. These videos detail how to best unbox, safely move, and assemble the optional cart for the oven.
